One of the best marketing campaigns seen for online bingo recently has to have been the teaser for the new Foxy Bingo advert. In the week leading up to the launch of the new Foxy marketing campaign the company behind the fox, Cashcade, chose to release a 10 second teaser. The Foxy Bingo He’s back teaser left hardly any clues as to who “he” was and even offered £1,000 to people just for taking a guess.

On 26th January at 7.30pm the full advert for the Foxy Bingo He’s Back campaign aired and although many had guessed that the return was of the Foxy Bingo mascot the whole campaign gained momentum over the week prior to the full add airing.

The campaign itself had tongues wagging online and many forums where debating who exactly was coming back thanks to the Foxy Bingo advert. Interestingly enough Minder was soon to return to the TV screens at about the same time and many thought it may have been an advertisement for this but the “£1 million to be won” tag line had many people perplexed.

It is reported that the whole Foxy Bingo He’s Back campaign cost Cashcade a massive £10 million for media marketing. Not only is the new campaign aimed at directing more traffic to their online bingo site but also advertises the Foxy Bingo Show which launched on 30th January 2008 on BSkyB front by Rowland Rivron.

BiscuitTV and Cashcade definitely came about with a great concept in the teaser distribution prior to the launch of the new Foxy Bingo advert and will have no doubt recouped much, if not all, of the cost if the interest in the teaser was anything to go by.
